Geographic or Proxy Block
What It Means
This request originates from a country on your Country Block list or from an IP address known to belong to an anonymous proxy.
Why It Matters
Country blocking reduces your attack surface by limiting traffic to regions where your users are located. Anonymous proxy blocking stops traffic that is deliberately hiding its origin, which is a strong indicator of malicious intent.
Common Triggers
Requests from countries you have added to your block list, or requests routed through known anonymous proxy services, VPN endpoints used for attack obfuscation, or Tor exit nodes.
What To Do
Review your country block list in the WAF dashboard if legitimate users report being blocked. See Blocking Requests Based on Country to adjust your geographic rules, or Blocking Anonymous Proxies for proxy-specific settings. Note that some countries can be set to read-only mode (allowing GET but blocking POST/PUT) as a less restrictive option.
