What It Means

The referrer of this request matches a referring site on your WAF’s blocklist.

Why It Matters

Referrer rules let you stop traffic arriving from specific sites, such as spam referrers or sites hotlinking your content.

Common Triggers

A visitor or client that followed a link from, or was sent by, a site you or your team blocked.

What To Do

If this block is unexpected, review your rules on the Traffic Rules > Referring Sites page of the WAF dashboard. See Blocking Referring Sites. Remove the rule if the block is no longer needed.
